Calling all Families!  

What happens to all the minibeasts over the winter? Where do they go when temperatures drop?

In the past, insects and other invertebrates had many options hiding away during the cold months. But with gardens becoming tidier and housing denser, they are struggling to find good overwintering spots.

Fortunately, you can help!

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn what types of creatures need messy garden corners to overwinter. You'll look at several live species and discover cool facts about them. Then, you'll create your own bug bunker: a mini habitat that attracts various animals such as centipedes, woodlice and springtails. At the end of the event, you can take home your bunker and put it in your garden or on a balcony.

The workshop is open to children aged 6-10. Space is limited to 15 places. If the event is full, please join the waiting list as we may repeat it.
