Friends of Broomfield Park are delighted to be taking part in The Big Draw Festival 2026, joining thousands of organisations around the world celebrating the joy, creativity and accessibility of drawing.

This year’s theme, “Make a Mark”, invites everyone to explore drawing as a way of seeing, thinking and connecting — not just creating a finished picture. Whether you are an experienced artist, a curious beginner, or simply want to try something new, everyone is welcome.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Broomfield Park, our Big Draw activity will encourage people of all ages to slow down, observe the natural world around them and respond creatively through mark-making. From the shapes and textures of plants and landscapes to the stories and memories held within the park, there will be inspiration everywhere.

The Big Draw is about bringing people together through creativity, learning and self-expression. We hope this event will help visitors discover new ways to connect with Broomfield Park, with each other, and with their own imagination.
