Broomfield Park Shines at Enfield in Bloom
Six Awards and a Special Honour
Enfield in Bloom celebrated its 47th year of bringing local communities together to enhance green spaces, support biodiversity, and brighten the borough. At this year’s awards ceremony, held at Chickenshed on October 28th, volunteers, schools, and community groups gathered to celebrate local environmental achievements across thirteen categories.
The Friends of Broomfield Park had a very successful evening, taking home six awards, including two Golds, three Silvers, and a Bronze, as well as a prestigious individual honour.
Individual Award for Elizabeth Dobbie
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a Livia Award to Elizabeth Dobbie. Sponsored by the Galli-Atkinson family in memory of their daughter Livia, this prestigious honour recognises many years of tireless commitment and dedication to Broomfield Park, Arnos Park, and wider green projects across Enfield. Elizabeth was deeply touched to receive the award, which recognises her nurturing of our local green spaces.

These awards are a testament to the incredible contribution of local people who give their time, energy, and passion to improve the places where we live. From station gardening groups and local environmental campaigners to our own weekly FoBP teams, volunteers play an essential role in keeping Enfield’s public spaces vibrant, supporting wildlife, and strengthening local connections.
Special thanks also go to resident horticulturalist Victoria Black and the Enfield Council Parks Management Team, whose partnership and support alongside our volunteer teams make these high standards possible.
