Since1927, the Broomfield Park Bandstand has been a much-loved focal point for music, performances, and community gatherings. As we mark the centenary of this iconic local landmark, the Friends of Broomfield Park (FoBP) are preparing something special - and we want you to be at the heart of it.

We are launching Bandstand 100, an exciting project to celebrate the bandstand’s history following its recent restoration. But this project is not just about a one-off birthday bash. Our goal is to use this centenary year to transform the bandstand into a sustainable, community-led music platform. Whilst the bandstand has successfully hosted events programmed by FoBP and St Harmonica’s Blues Club in recent years we believe there are more opportunities to enrich cultural life in the park.

Who are we looking for? We are inviting local musicians, community groups, schools, youth organisations, and aspiring event planners to take the stage and co-deliver an unforgettable centenary live performance programme. Whether you are a seasoned performer or a first-time organiser looking for a platform to grow, we want to hand the microphone over to you.. By the end of this project, we aim to extend the number of community groups co-delivering or independently running their own events on the bandstand and develop a wider audience, enriching the cultural life of of Palmers Green by bringing people together in the delightful surroundings of Broomfield Park.

Share your ideas If you have a suggestion for outdoor entertainment programming – and think you could deliver it – get in touch with your outline plans. As the project develops, we aim to build in support for less experienced event organisers and help new projects develop

Please complete a short Expression of Interest form to share your ideas and help ensure the bandstand's next 100 years are fully shaped by our community.
