Public Open Meeting

Find out about the FoBP becoming a charity

The Friends of Broomfield Park is in the process of becoming a registered charity—details of our progress can be found on our website. As we approach the official launch of this new structure in the spring, we warmly invite all members, volunteers, and park visitors to join us for our Open Meeting on Tuesday, January 28th.

Discover the benefits of FoBP's transition to charity status; what new possibilities could arise? What enhancements would enrich your experience and that of fellow visitors to the park?

The meeting will:

  • Explain how and why FoBP has become a charity
  • Explain the charity’s purposes
  • Give you an opportunity to ask questions and contribute to FoBP development

Tuesday 28th January 18.00 The meeting should last about an hour, dependent on length of discussions.

For many years the FoBP has been welcoming local primary schools to visit the park for educational activities and to learn about nature and wildlife on their doorstep. We are inviting new volunteers to join the team and support young people learning about the environment and biodiversity.
